How we see God at work - Our Vision
"if you were blind you would not have sin. But now that you say, 'We see,' your sin remains." - John 9:41
God is always at work to bring sight to the blind, healing to the sick, blessings to the cursed, forgiveness to the sinner, and life to the dead. At St. Luke's, we see God working among us to do these things as he calls us to minister in his name to our families, neighbors, strangers, and even our enemies.
We see God working through each of these interconnected ministry areas to do his work of giving healing, forgiveness, and life.
Worship - This is the starting point for all that we do. In worship we encounter God through hearing his word of judgement and promise, law and gospel, in which we recieve new life and go out strengthened in faith and empowered to serve in Christ's name.
Christian Service - True service happens when one realizes the need of another and hears God's call to give of oneself. This happens naturally when our eyes have been opened and new life has been given by God.
