Health and Wellness
Caring for people's physical and mental health is an important part of serving one another. We see the work of doctors, nurses, and counselors as part of God's call to care for our neighbors well being.
Blood Pressure Checks
On the 2nd Sunday each month, a caring team of health care workers checks, reports, and records blood pressure following worship. This simple service helps people know about their health and is a good way to get advice from knowledgeable Christian friends.
The Care Ministry is designed to make sure first time attenders at St. Luke's feel welcome here. Members of the care team meet and greet visitors at the church services. During the liturgy, worshipers have the opportunity to fill out a blue "Welcome Card" with contact information and prayer requests. Following the morning liturgy, care ministers are available to pray with worshipers desiring prayer.
Through the Care Ministry we are better able to welcome visitors to our congregation, pray for the needs of all who worship here, and share with them the love of Christ.
Health Ministries Program
A number of churches in the West Central Ohio area share the conviction that God is at work to make healthy people. A monthly newsletter is published, and it can be found online.
