Our Congregation

St. Luke’s Lutheran Church has served Lima in the downtown area for 125 years.

Coming together as the merger of Bethany and St. Paul’s Lutheran Churches in 1931, our building has been at the corner of Elizabeth and North Streets since 1898. Over the years, from the original sanctuary, we have added an educational wing, Gathering area, and the New Life Center. We are proud of our history of proclaiming Christ, serving the needs of the local community, sharing God’s love, hope, and peace with our neighbors, and being a place of refreshment, renewal, and restoration in our community.

The people of God at St. Luke’s are active members of the local community, and serve on a variety community organizations, groups, and associations.

We are a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the largest Lutheran denomination in the United States. We are part of the Northwestern Ohio Synod of The ELCA, and the Southwestern Conference. For more information, visit www.elca.org, or www.nwos-elca.org
