“For freedom Christ has set us free.” – Galatians 5:1
During July, our nation reflects on freedom. Scripture reminds us that the deepest freedom is found in Christ which is freedom from fear, sin, and despair, and freedom to love generously, forgive fully, and serve joyfully.
May the freedom we celebrate lead us not only to gratitude, but to compassion for those whose lives are burdened or bound.
Prayer
God of grace, thank You for the freedom we receive through Christ. Strengthen us to use that freedom in service to others. Amen.
